Tree planting for Partners
St Neots BM Darren Welsford and Forum representative Lesley Morgan helped local horticulture society St Neot’s in Bloom, to plant out a new 120-tree copse at Eynesbury. This copse comprises mixed spieces including, for the first time, new elm hybrids protected against disease.
“We work with St Neot’s in Bloom throughout the year, but it was the first time we’d done something like this”, said Darren.
“It was a brilliant experience to be involved in the community, and a great opportunity to help revitalised a forgotten park area, re-establishing wildlife to allow the area to flourish”. “Being involved in planting, the new elm species was also really exciting”.
