South Harrow's Foodbank success

Our South Harrow branch enlisted the help of the Harrow and Pinner  Lions Club to run their food bank collection at the end of November, which amounted to two cages of food being donated by the end of the weekend.

The Lions work in the local community to carry out fundraising and service activities.  “They had an extremely successful weekend collecting, and estimated that around £500 was donated by way of food parcels for the elderly and needy”, said Community Matters Champion, Nicola Woulfe.

BM Mark Brown praised the efforts of his branch, in particular Nicola, who was recognised as a local Community Champion by the Mayor of Harrow earlier this year.
