Wolverhampton: Christmas
Waitrose Wolverhampton benefitted when the Coca Cola lorry visited the branch at the end of November 2013 as part of its Christmas tour around the UK.
In one day the branch had more than 20 000 visitors – equal to the number of transactions in one week, with 4000 cans of Coke being sampled. The branch saw lots of new customers and traded up at 16% on the year, with transactions 30% up.
The branch was the only place the lorry stopped in the whole of the West Midlands, and the only Waitrose it visited across its tour.
