Good Idea

Mr Chris Watson’s good idea was to make the lining-up of the Rolatrucs with the conveyor more easy. With the Rolatruc loaded, it is impossible to see the exact position of the conveyor, and loading the pallet onto it is largely a matter of guesswork. By marking the position to which the pallet must be manoevered with lines painted on the floor the pallet can be loaded accurately first time, without any shuffling backwards and forwards until the positioning is correct.

A £30 bonus has therefore been awarded to Mr Watson for the idea, as it is believed that this will cut down on the double handling of badly positioned pallets and improve the operation.
