Golden Jubilee
Billericay Partner Rosemary Freeman chose to take up the opportunity offered by the Jubilee Trust and is due to start her secondment in a few weeks time.
The Checkout Assistant will be giving up her job for six months and working for the Salvation Army, starting up a shop from scratch.
She said. “I can’t wait to get started. I’m really looking forward to it. I really enjoy doing my voluntary work and helping people.
I went to the Salvation Army one day and I haven’t looked back. I have been involved with the Army now for six years, so when I heard about the Jubilee Trust I knew it was such a great opportunity”.
During her secondment, Rosemary will be carrying out all sorts of duties with a team of volunteers, including cleaning, collecting and arranging the donated items to sell and operating the till.
