Distribution, Head Office

Around 20 Distribution Partners gave up their time to help with the construction of a sensory garden at the Dingley Specialist Children’s  Centre in Wokingham this Tuesday.

As part of Community Giving, Head Office had donated to the Dingley Specialist Children’s Centre to help fund specialist equipment and the building of a beautiful sensory garden for the children to enjoy.

The idea to create the garden came from DM Supply Chain Efficiencies Ian Kemp.  “His granddaughter went to the Centre and Ian was extremely keen to support it in whichever way he could”, explained Ambient Shift Manager Ian Earthy, who is leading the project.

He added, “Using donated materials and voluntary help from Distribution Partners, the aim is to landscape the area and construct flower beds, put in special plants and have a sitting area with mobiles, colours and smells”.

It is hoped the project will be completed by Easter.
