Fundraising at Head Office

Representatives from three local charities were invited to the Waitrose Conference Centre last week to each be presented with a cheque for £12,549, which Head Office Partners raised through last years ‘Charities Fortnight’.

Head of Branch Helen Hyde presented the cheques to the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, the Alexander Devine Children’s HospiceService and Daisy’s Dream which supports children goiing through bereavement.  “This is the biggest cheque I’ve ever picked up – and we’ll put it towards the cost of running the helicopter”, said TVCAA.  President Colin Lee, “We’re extremely gratful – this is an incredible amount of money and will make a huge different to local children with life threatening or limiting illnesses” said Susie Knowles, Community Fundraiser for Alex Divine Hospice, which is Berkshire’s only hospice service provision.  “It’s an astounding amount of money – thanks to all the Partners!” – said Jenny Evens, Administrator for Daisy’s Dreams, “Knowing it’s been raised in good faith and that Partners had fun doing it makes it even better”.
