Towcester tree planting

Towcester Partners have been donning their wellies and t-shirts and planting trees for three local primary schools as part of the 75th anniversary.

The Partners planted a total of eleven trees at Towcester C.E. Primary  School, five native British trees to help the children learn about and identify British species and six fruit trees.  The school keeps chickens and hopes to incorporate the fruit from the trees into future cookery lessons.

The branch also planted five ornamental trees at Sponne School and will plant a further eight trees at Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School, followed by two at Willan Hospice, which was one of the Group’s charities last year.
