Karen helps homeless

Harpenden’s Karen Kelly is en route to becoming a volunteer mentor to help young people who are homeless.

Under Partner Volunteering Karen, who worked in social care before she joined the Partnership, applied to be a volunteer mentor for the charity, Centre Point, which is the leading London charity for homeless young people aged between 16 and 25.

Since being accepted she has completed three training sessions and is now waiting for her final interview and matching process.

“Thanks to Partners Volunteering Karen is able to continue to do volunteering for the charity, as well as working for the branch”, said Harpenden’s Michelle Drew.
