Waitrose wall hanging

DM Darren Kimber, Textile Designer Mrs Jolly and some of the children show off the wall hanging.

Talented youngsters have given Milton Keynes a wall hanging made from our bags for life.

The pupils from Haversham First School spent four months weaving the wall hanging, working on the project every Monday in their design classes.

The creation was woven on a four shaft table loom.  Younger children were given the job of cutting the bags into strips while the older pupils designed what materials should be used to weave the bags together – in this case a strong cotton and a mixture of different wool.  They also threaded the loom ready to weave.
