Hailsham in the frame

A ‘VIRTUAL NIGHT at the races’ and a ploughman’s supper, courtesy of Hailsham branch, were all that were needed to make an enjoyable evening at the town’s old picture house.

Hailsham Old Pavillion Society held a race-night, with films of races to bet on, and raised £158 towards the restoration of the cinema, a 1920’s listed building.  HOPS has already raised a total of £500,000 since 1993.

Tony O’Donoghue, Hailsham SM Checkouts, who arranged cheese and french bread for the event, said: “We were happy to help out as Hailsham Pavillion is charity run and is the only cinema in town”.

Do you have any pictures of this event, if so please add them to this event?
