Farm shop on target

Building work is on target for the opening of a brand new venture at Leckford where a new farm shop is due to open this summer.

Branded The Farm Shop, Leckford Estate, the 165 sq metre shop will open in August creating a number of new jobs for local people.

It is expected to sell more than 1,000 products with a commitment that at least 40% of its range will come from within 30-mile radius of the shop and 40% from within the region as defined by regional food group; Taste of the South East.

The building will include an educational facility, where local school children can learn about food provenance and farming, and a coffee shop, that will include an outdoor dining area with views of the Estates Nursery.
