Cheltenham plants garden

A group of new Team Leader Trainees (TLTs) at Cheltenham have been busy planting a garden outside the branch with the aim of attracting local wildlife including birds, butterflies and bees, as well as providing an area for customers to sit and enjoy the sights and scents.

The garden which was funded by the division’s 75th anniversary money, uses flowers and plants from the new Waitrose horticulture range and the Partners planted 40 lavender bushes, 25 thyme bushes, one silver birch and 9 flowering bulbs.  It was designed by SM Catering Rebecca Benford, who won a branch competition to design the garden.
