A Wonky story
Harrogate Partner Leanne Bower has been volunteering at the local Dog Trust in Leeds and working with a puppy called Wonky, who hit the headlines earlier this year after being abandoned because she has disabled joints.
“Wonky had badly deformed legs as she was taken from her monther too early”, explained Leanne. “After treatment involving physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and regular walking she has recovered well and been rehomed and renamed as Juliette”.
Leanne has made a difference at The Trust by releasing staff members to do tasks they wouldn’t otherwise have time for. She has also seen how the charity works.
Her duties have included helping with kennel cleaning, dog walking, sorting donations and making up fundraising packs.
