Success with Grow and Sell

Branches the length and breadth of the country have been delighting local schools with Waitrose Grow and Sell Kits – designed to encourage pupils to start growing and selling their own produce.

Our Otley branch enlisted the help of their local MP, Greg Mulholland, to support their donation of the kits to the children from The Whartons Primary School, Askwith School, Otley All Saints School and Greenmeadows School.

“The ‘Grow and Sell’ has generated much excitement across the whole of Group K” said BM Peter Gibbs.  “Hear at Otley, were working with the four schools.  Waitrose is a key part of the Otley community and it was great that our local MP was able to support the launch”.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the children back at the branch later in the year to sell their produce to our customer”.

Each school representative received a foodie bag containing fresh fruit to share amongst their classmates.
