Group A gets healthy

When Waitrose announced the support of the biggest day of volunteering on Friday 17 May, Group A branches were pleased to step up.  As part of Business in the Community Waitrose Partners across the business were encouraged to volunteer and promote healthy eating with schools.

In Gillingham 30 school children attended the branch and were tasked with finding a rainbow of fruit and vegetables from the shop floor.  Also they were given a demonstration of how to prepare a fish – including removing then head!

DM Neil Scorey said: “The children had a great time and were really excited about all the products – even the fish!”
