Partner charity cycle ride
Rickmandsworth ASM Customer Services Barry Ellison cycled 100 miles overnight – from Tidworth in Wiltshire to Blackhealth Common in London – to raise money for ‘Help for Heroes’ in the charity’s Dawn Raid supportive event, part of their 2013 Hero Ride.
Barry set off with 499 others at 1.15 am from Tedworth House, the recovery centre for wounded members of the armed forces, and arrived in Blackheath eight hours later. At Blackheath they met up with 800 more cyclists who had come from all over, including from Paris, and cycled with a police escort 10 miles to The Mall to their final destination of Horse Guard Parade.
“It was a great but tiring day and I raised just over £200 thanks in part to my colleagues at Rickmansworth” said Barry.
