Victorious opening
Little Waitrose on London’s Victoria Street attracted the attention of not just residents, workers and commuters, but John Lewis and Corporate Partners – and even the Lord Mayor of Westminster – when it opened on Tuesday 2nd July.
With seven self-scanning checkouts and five mainline tills, the shop is designed to process transactions quickly. “Our checkout layout is unique” added Store Manager, Tom Sanger, “and we’ve got contactless payment in all of our tills to”.
After the first hour of trading, the Lord Mayor of Westminster Councillor Sarah Richardson visited the branch to officially cut the ribbon, whilst also using the opportunity to chat to partners during a tour of the shop.
