Record-breaking plant fair

Longstock Park Nursery enjoyed a record-breaking plant fair earlier this month, with 28 specialist nurseries attending, and around 2,500 people visiting.

The fair, which took place on the first Bank Holiday Monday 6th May, also featured for the first time, two bands, Acoustic Jazz and The Agricultural Orchestra with classically trained musician Janet Beale, which added to the ambiance of the day.

With more than 10,000 plants on sale along with homemade cakes, teas and local produce, visitors flocked in their droves, encouraged by the sunny weather.
