Spartan Race fit - almost

Obstacle racing is the latest global sports craze and the international series Spartan Race is becoming one of the UK’s most popular.  Editor Carol Miller took part in a Spartan training camp.

A roo! Aroo! Spartan ready! Spartan ready!  “Our Spartan Race Training Camp beginners’ group responds to the Spartan call as we each shoulder our new best friends – a log that must be at least 10g.

I’ve signed up in preparation for a 5k Spartan Obstacle Race on 25 August that I’m entering with my boot camp group, Scorpion Training in Woking, Surrey.

Carol is taking part to raise money for the ASTRO ‘BRAIN’ TUMOUR FUND.
