Southend's Annual Bikeathon

This annual event started and finished behind our Waitrose branch, in an area decorated with balloons, banners and stalls.  A band was playing to help things go with a bang.  The Lord Mayor attended to start the cyclists off on a 26 mile course.

Waitrose arranged for drinks and chocolate bars to be available for the 1,000 participants.
