CVW Trainee's

In a Chronicle article 6 years ago, Darren Gosling and Paul Harvey were hailed as “Fitters of the future” when they joined the Central Vehicle Workshop as trainee’s.

That time has now arrived and as recognition of their achievements, they have both gained an associate grade of membership of the Institute of Road Transport Enginers (IRTE).

Since joining CVW they have undertaken practical and academic training, and completed a three-year BTEC course in motor vehicle engineering.  They have also achieved an HNC in motor vehicle engineering management.

The young men, both just 22 were delighted their hard work has paid off.  Paul commented “We don’t hear of many people our age with this class of membership”

Darren added “The last two-years working for the HNC has been hard, but it’s been worth it”.

“The Partnership’s given us a good start and everyone here at CVW have been very helpfull”.
