Teamwork beats the heat

As we got a taste of the summer weather last week, our distribution operation at Bracknell and at our contractors worked flat out to handle and deliver vast quantities of stock to the branches.

The number of cases delivered from both RDC’s was only just below the peak week last Christmas and was the second highest ever.

At Bracknell over 155,000 cases of soft drinks were received into the ambient warehouses to keep branches in stock for the bank holiday weekend.

Coping with such large volumes was a tremendous achievement for all Partners in distribution and our contractors, everyone pulled out all stops to meet the demand and teamwork between all the departments saw us through.
