Rowing for charity

A group of Bracknell Partners who recently took part in the 14th National Grocer’s Benevolent Fund (NGBF) charity row done the ten-and-half mile length of Lake Windermere.

On the Sunday morning we assembled at the head of Lake Windermere, just below the Partnership’s Ambleside Park, along with the other 27 crews taking part.

A bitter headwind made the rowing very hard and we were pleased with our second placing with a time of 2 hours 1 minute.

Maintaining Waitrose honour was the ladies’ crew who were the first ladies team home and finished an excellent sixth overall.
