Team Effort - Corporate Games

The squash team faced some tough competition at this year’s Corporate Games, however, there were some impressive performances by individual players.

Captain Julie Arnold said: “I would like to thank Eric Chipping for standing in at the last minute due to injury.  He gave a spirited performance in the over-40 age group”.

In the over-50 age group Keith Capewell showed that he still has life in his legs by winning one and losing one in his round robin matches, which put him through to the knockout stage.  Having lost his semi-final he played for 3rd/4th place play-off and produced some of his best squash over the weekend.

In the ladies Julie Arnold entered the Open Competition as opposed to her age group and again got to the final.  In the round robin matches she beat the lady who she met in the final.  Julie came a close second to her in one of the best matches of the games – finishing with a silver medal.
