Waitrose supports Leeds castle concerts

The Leeds Castle Concerts were hailed as a triumph for team spirit as Waitrose gave its support to the acclaimed open air events in Kent for the first time.

The music extravaganza of classical and big band concerts, including a Glenn Miller night, took place from 25th June 2003 to 5th July 2003 and attracted huge crowds, with audiences of up to 16 000 at the Saturday concerts.

Events Manager Amanda Dance said: “It was a very successful event for Waitrose.  We had a wonderful team spirit among the Partners who worked at the concerts with support from all 17 branches in the area, especially Longfield and Paddock Wood.

A first at Leeds was the sale of Waitrose own label ice creams as well as draft beer in conjunction with Shepherd Neame Brewery.
