Bracknell Head Office in 1986

The Bracknell Office block is under wraps in August 1986 while being refurbished
The finished building

The current six-month refurbishment of the Main Office block includes the installation of a goods lift on the west face of the building to take bigger items such as desks and photocopiers the full heights of the block.

The refurbishment will bring the office block into line with the warehouses by fixing of light grey luxalon panels – similar to those on the warehouses – over the pre-cast concrete panels in the offices.

Over the years, the concrete panels have weathered breaking away in places, causing leaks and insulation problems.

The work also includes the laying of a new roof covering the cleaning and treatment of the window frames, the overcladding of luxalon panels of the exposed brickwork at ground floor level and the building of a new front entrance.

The visitors car park that was at the front of the building will be replaced by both hard and soft landscaping.
