Breakfast Club boosts kids

Shoeburyness pupils are starting the day on a full stomach, thanks to an inmotive breakfast club sponsored by our Southend Food & Home store.

Children aged between seven and eleven, from Friars Junior School meet up every morning to chat over fruit juice, toast and hot drinks before starting their lessons.  Parents are also invited.

The club has been set up by the school so parents starting work early can ensure thair children receive a good breakfast before the start of a school day.

Waitrose is providing the food including margarine, jam, marmite, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk and fruit juice.
