Bring a little of Italy to Christmas

A FESTIVE taste of Italy will be in branches shelves this Christmas.

Family-owned pastry company Loison, based in Costabissara, Italy, is exclusively supplying Waitrose with a selection of large and mini Panettone cakes, including classic and ones with almond and chocolate.

The third generation company began making bread in 1930 and the ingredients and handcrafted workmanship have remained untouched by industrial process.

Jon Neale, Buyer Bakery commented: “This year we have really looked at consolidating our Christmas assortment but we still have a few new products out.

Our new Panettone selection is exclusive to us and we think it will be popular with our customers, especially the mini ones packaged like crackers.
