Shopping with Chopin

Gifted pianist Benjamin Grosvenor struck a cord with Waitrose customers when he provided a musical companiment for Southend customers.

The ten-year-old child pianist, who has won a coveted place at the Yehudi Menuhin School in 2003, performed pieces from Chopin, Debussy and Gershwin, on the shop floor on 17th August.

BM Russell Catell said: “Benjamin is extremely gifted and I am sure our customers really enjoyed his music”.
