Tricks or treat apples with pumpkins and witches marked on their skins are going on sale from 25th October in time for Halloween.

The Halloween designs have been naturally formed on the apple skins, and there are plans for further designs – for other festive occasions, such as Valentines Day.

Gordon Fairbrother, Central Fruit Buyer said:  “The possibilities are endless, but witch-ever design you prefer, there’s no trick to these apples and they will definetly go down a treat at Halloween.

The Falstaff variety apples, grown exclusively for Waitrose on farms in Kent, will be available in 60 selected Waitrose shops.
