Crowborough is bigger

Crowborough reopened on Monday (27th October 2002), almost double its original size after a massive extension.

One of Waitrose’s most difficult extension projects, Crowborough opened its door’s to high paced trade.

With many new fixtures and wider aisles, the shop now covers almost 25,000 sq ft, after 20 months of onsite work.

First through the doors on Monday was loyal customer, George Rhind, who was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne by Tony Charlton, Bracknell.
