Mr M Price
Mr Mark Price the current Waitrose Managing Director of Waitrose began his Partnership career as a graduate trainee at Tyrrell and Green in 1982. He worked in various department store branches, and in 1995 became MD of a new John Lewis in Cheadle.
In 1998 Mr Price moved to the Waitrose division as Marketing Director. There he developed the Waitrose brand picking up prestigious awards including best advertisement by a retailer and best press advertisement. By the year 2000 he was running the selling operation, as well as marketing and was an Internet enthusiast championing Waitrose’s initial foray into the world of internet shopping which was to develop into Waitrose.com. In 2007, Mr Price became Waitrose Managing Director, expanding Waitrose into smaller ‘convenience’ shops, motorway service stations and developing the international operation .
