Sandbach: Extraordinary People

Fresh Partner Robin Alabaster caused a stir amongst Partners at the Sandbach branch, when he revealed his talent as an artist.

Robin began drawing and painting at the age of four.  “There was nothing in particular that made me want to paint.  My mum would always draw pictures for me and then one day I started copying”.

Robin’s work focuses on hyperrealism; a genre of art that is painted to look like a high-resolution photograph.  He finds inspiration from other hyperrealists such as Gottfried Helnwein and Sebastian Kruger.
