Hexham Partner take on the Great North Run

Partner Jannette Griffin chose to run to raise money for charity but also to raise awarness of the condition ME/CFS.  Her daughter Rebecca has been affected by the illness which causes extreme fatigue, joint and muscle pain, headaches and insomnia – to name a few.

Jannette pushed Rebecca around the course in her wheelchair with the help of a ME support worker.

Her highlight of the day was to watch Rebecca walk the last 400 metres across the finish line.
