Fruitful volunteering

Partners from Croydon braved rain for the branch’s first Partner  Volunteering project earlier this month and helped Warlingham Village  Primary School  clear an area of wasteland next to the playing field.

The school were keen to create an outside wildlife classroom, and a local gardening centre has drawn up plans for a planting scheme.

After six hours of back breaking work – including numerous trips to the dump – the wasteland was transformed to a cleared and levelled area.
