Six Partners sat knitting for two hours one evening recently, to help raise money for the building of an extension to a day centre for handicapped people at the Mote House Cheshire Homes.
The ladies all from Waitrose Allington Park branch raised £165 between them and the grand total of the evening’s work reached the magnificant sum of seven thousand pounds.
The ladies who participated deserve all our thanks for their patient work, and a special word of gratitude is due to all those who sponsored them – not forgetting Partners from branch 110 Crowborough, our neighbouring Waitrose branch.
