Bromley South

Waitrose Bromley South (224) opened on 19/11/1996.  The following appeared in the partnership’s in-house magazine, The Chronicle, at that time.

“A snow blizzard raged outside Bromley South as our newest branch opened its doors at 8.30 am on Tuesday 19th November.

Vince Mulligan, car park attendant, was kept busy with an umbrella trying to protect customers from the worst of the weather conditions.

Branch 224 occupies a prominent position in Bromley and its exterior design is quite different to any other Waitrose.  With its frontage of brick and green glass as well as two distinctive clocks, the shop is bound to be a talking point in town.”
