The show will go on

The third oldest working theatre in the UK has been given a major boost with a big donation from the Partnership.

The Theatre Royal in Bury St. Edmunds, which is one of only eight Grade 1 listed theatres in the country, has received £20,000 donation from the Partnership.

Theatre Royal Development Manager Clare Glazebrook said: “We are delighted that a company with the reputation and profile of John Lewis has chosen to support our restoration appeal”.

The Theatre Royal Restoration Appeal to restore the victorian-built theatre to its former glory recently reached a £250,000 milestone and is seeking to raise a total of £6.4 million.
