Five Go Planting

Our Eastbourne branch donated 21 native trees to Tollgate School for the 75-year anniversary – and under Partner Volunteering, five Partners planted them.

The Partners joined teacher Helena Pickup and several pupils from a school eco-club to transform part of the school field into an eco-garden.

Fresh Partner Lisa Pearce explains: “The trees which were purchased from a local family-run nursery, will attract many types of wildlife and provide a haven”.

The branch will also support the planting of trees in the grounds of the local Hospice St Wilfred’s when it moves to a new purpose-built site this autumn.
