The address of the first branch at Gerrards Cross, opening in 1929, was 8-9 The Highway, Gerrards Cross, Bucks.

According to my records Gerrads Cross, originally branch 59 opened in 1928, becoming branch 129 during the mid ’60’s renumbering before closure in 1969. Mr Field, a manager at the store transferred to the Wines department at Gloucester Road while I was still working at 123. I did have an address for the original store when we were researching the location of the new branch 4 or 5 years ago but I couldn’t find it.

Jon, the Memory Store has been developed by a small group volunteers and we have been compiling and adding content to the site over the last few months. However we still have much more to add including the missing closed Gerrard Cross branch you have identified. This information will be added soon as part of our ongoing development of the site.

According to http://www.waitrosememorystore.org.uk/page_id__65.aspx, a Gerrards Cross store opened sometime between 1924 and 1936, but there is no mention of that on the page for Gerrards Cross.
