King's Cross: Opening
Waitrose King’s Cross opened on 24/9/2015.
The 24th September 2015 saw the opening of Waitrose King’s Cross which is also home to the third Waitrose Cookery School. This was an exciting day for the John Lewis Partnership, as the department store in Birmingham also opened its doors for the first time.
The new branch plus Cookery School are housed in a Victorian, Grade ll listed building, with bare-brick walls and other elements demonstrating the building’s railway heritage.
Customer Experience
The store offers customers the chance to fully experience a ‘modern Waitrose’. It includes a front-of-store juice bar, bakery grazing area, ‘skinny’ self checkouts and a wine bar which contains Waitrose’s first beer pump, provided by the local Camden brewery.
Branch Address: Granary Square, 1 Wharf Road, London N1C 4BZ
