A leap of faith

Two Okehampton Partners Rachel Hole and Rachel Bolt, aimed high when they set out to raise money for the charity Juvenile Diabetes  Research Foundation and the Heart Foundation.

The two have raised just under £3,000 from the sky dives.  The initial inspiration for their jump had been to support JDRF which exists to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, as Rachel Bolt’s son Harry was diagnosed with it just before his second birthday in 2010.

Subsequently they decided to make a donation to the Heart Foundation in memory of Rachel Hole’s dad an brother.

Harry is now using an insulin pump to keep his level’s stable and his mum says: “Hopefully our fundraising will aid further valuable research to help children like Harry with diabetes”.
