From Otley to Philadelphia

DM Jamie Barias recently worked with the University of Blandford to support a morning of education for nine students from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, USA.  The students are studying for a master’s degree in Food Marketing and were interested in learning about the difference between food retail in the UK compared to the US.  “They were especially surprised to learn that we sell beef-flavoured crisps”, said Jamie.  “But it was a great opportunity to explain our business structure and champion the Waitrose way.  I enjoyed the experience very much and we will be working further with Bradford University later this month when the Group K Branch Managers will be visiting”.
