Richmond and Twickenham: donations to Sea Cadets

Richmond and Twickenham played their part in the inauguration of a sea cadet corps’ new boat station, opened by Prince Andrew in Sept 2021.

The two branches both made donations to the Richmond Sea Cadet Unit’s appeal to build a new boat station.

President Admiral of The Sea Cadet Corps, the Duke of York arrived last Thursday to a band playing and a line-up of cadets from Richmond and several other units.

The boat station has been named T.S. ‘Goodwin’, after the former Mayor of Richmond and father-in-law of the unit’s current president, Alderman Goodwin.  He was a supporter from 1938 until his death in 1955.
