The market town of Saffron Walden holds a carnival every three years. The carnival usually lasts for about 8 days and includes a variety of events held around the town.

On of the highlights is the carnival procession, which normally takes place on the first Saturday of the event.

Branch 135 has participated in most of these processions (as well as supporting the carnival in other ways). In 2011 the float was organised by Emma Sivyer.
