Sunningdale helps with tuck shop

Sunningdale’s DMRS Jem Pettit spent a few hours in a local primary school recently giving them advice on setting up a school tuck shop selling healthy food.

Jem talked to the St Frances Primary School pupils about different FRV products as well as ordering, wastage, mark up, advertising, packaging and recycling.  The children then had the chance to taste a range of healthy fruit and vegetable snacks that could be sold in their shop.

“I really enjoyed the day and was really impressed with the standard and level of questions the children asked me”, said Jem.  He also donated £500 from the Groups’ marketing budget to help the school get started buying equipment including a trolley, packaging and stock.
