Uttoxeter 599: Opening
The Staffordshire town of Uttoxeter welcomed its new Waitrose store on Thursday 17th March 2016. Local MP Andrew Griffiths cut the ribbon alongside children from nearby St Mary and St Joseph school. Branch Manager Peter Gibbs stood proudly with his Partners to watch the official opening.
The 25,000 sq ft branch was built on the former 140 year old JCB site. With 120 Partners, many new jobs were created for the local community.
The branch offers its customers a meat, fish and deli counter, an instore bakery and an extensive wine range. Customers can also use the JL Click and Collect service in branch.
