Wokingham Wonders
On a Sunday in December a group of Partners from Wokingham went on a sponsored walk. Now, the story itself may not have been news – after all people walk every day, don’t they, and get nothing for it except worn down heels – but the sponsorship in this particular case meant that Queen Elizabeth Hospital for the Incurably Disabled Trust Fund is £100 better off; Ken Thomas’s Cancer ScannerAppeal is £50 closer to its target and the Guardians of Thuy (pronounced Twee) who were orphaned in Vietnam, and other children in Ockenden Venture have their financial problems reduced by £36.00.
