Birch Hill: Three of everything

One of the pleasant things about working in a branch is getting to know the customers.  Some are friendly, some are not, but each one has some particular characteristic which – when they’ve been in a few times – imprints them in your memory.

It’s easy to remember one of the regular visitors to Birch Hill branch, the lady shown in the picture, who brings in her charming triplets to help her do the weekly shopping.  We asked her if she would mind our taking a photograph or two, and she was very happy to allow it.

Her girls are called Victoria, Jane and Louise, and they are used to sitting quietly while mum gets first one and then the next two, and so on, out of the car and into the triple sized push-chair, then it’s into the shop around the fixtures and through the checkouts.

Apparently – our mother of triplets already has three sons and on wanting a fourth child – ended up with six.
